We’re thrilled to share that The Paulick Report, one of the nation’s most respected voices in Thoroughbred news, featured LOPE and our newest teaching warhorse, Not Again Jackie (aka “Jack”)! The story highlights his journey from an 8-year-old veteran of the track to becoming part of our teaching herd at LOPE.

Jack ran 55 races during his career and gave his all on the track. He soon landed at CANTER Kentucky, thanks to many good people. CANTER Kentucky then reached out to LOPE and brought Jack to our attention. Their dedication to retraining and rehoming Thoroughbreds is extraordinary, and we’re so grateful they connected us with Jack. From the moment he arrived here, his sweet temperament and willingness to engage have made him a perfect fit for our youth education programs.

At LOPE, Jack now helps students learn not just about horses, but about science, empathy, and stewardship — becoming a living classroom and an inspiration to many. We couldn’t be happier that The Paulick Report chose to share his story and the impact of programs like ours.
