Wren is a granddaughter of Secretariat and spent part of her younger years on the track, but decided she didn’t like to run and came to live with us. She is a smart girl that needs a job. She has soft, beautiful movement and would make a nice english/jumper prospect. Her hips are definitely designed for jumping. She will need a non-timid handler. Once you have her trust, she puts forth a great effort to please. She has never been injured to my knowledge or during my ownership. She was on the track during her younger years and her papers are fully black typed. She has had 1 foal and is an awesome mother that passed her solid bone and mass to her foal. Smart Dolly: Three year old chestnut thoroughbred filly by Tinners Way out of Smart Looks by To Freedom. She made 3 starts at Evangeline going off as the favorite each time. While she trained well, she just did not like the racetrack. We made the decision to bring her home and evaluate her as a broodmare prospect or should she go on to another equine career. She has a couple of half sisters that performed well on the track and their broodmare careers have started off pretty well. She stands about 16h and is nicely put together. She has no vices, and the one thing that we have been working is getting her weight back up from when she came home from the track. She is a filly that does try to please, but one that the track just did not agree with. Smart Dolly is 100% sound. We think she would make a good eventing horse, and she does have potential as a broodmare. She is one of the last granddaughters of Secretariat through a male branch of the family. If you are interested in Dolly as a broodmare we would include a season to either Special Rate or Uncle Abbie for the 2013 season. Priced at $1500. Contact Phil Leckinger at email@example.com or by phone at 972-562-8002. (Photo)
Moonbeam Special is a 5 year old thoroughbred mare by Special Rate out of Mal’s Showntell by Cryptoclearance. She stands about 15.3h. She was a good race horse, however, towards the end of her 3 year old year had a chip removed from her right knee. Winnings of $33,000. We brought her back after surgery, and while she is 100% sound, she did lose a step, and again, no need in pushing them to the next injury. As you can tell, she has been off the track awhile and has added a bit of weight. She is quite athletic, shows no ill effects of the knee surgery, and is willing at anytime to race any of the other girls. She is very well put together and definitely an athlete. Her third dam is a Grade III producer. If purchased for a broodmare prospect, she sells with a season to Uncle Abbie for the 2013 season. Priced at $1,500. Contact Phil Leckinger at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 972-562-8002. (Photo)
Gomorrah is a 4 year old thoroughbred filly by Tinners Way out of Quiet Ling by Quiet American. She showed very good ability, however, was involved in a stall accident at the track. She did not bow a tendon, but rather creased it in her stall. She has been given time to rehabilitate and is 100% sound. She stands approx. 15.2-3h. Her dam is a half to multiple stakes winner Fifteen Love, and there is a strength throughout the pedigree. She is 100% sound, but as we have learned with tendons through the years, the odds of coming back into racing form and staying sound for the long term is difficult. She is athletic and works to please when put to task. Secretariat granddaughter. If sold as a broodmare prospect a season to Special Rate or Uncle Abbie for 2013 is included. Price $1,500. Contact Phil Leckinger at email@example.com or by phone at 972-562-8002. (Photo)

Proper Temp: 16 year old @15.3H dark bay thoroughbred mare. Excellent broodmare. She is a large, healthy and well-mannered mare, with a good gait. She would make a great pleasure horse. Her sire is Temperance Hill, best 3-yr old of his crop who won over 1.5 million dollar on the track. Her mother’s sire is Proper Reality, who won over 1.7 million and retired to Old Friends in Kentucky. This broodmare throws beautiful babies and would make an excellent addition to anyone’s breeding crop. She had a slab fracture on her knee, though it no longer bothers her. Other than racing, she was never ridden. Proper is beautiful, loves peppermints, apples and carrots, is gentle and friendly. She has many good years left, and deserves a great forever home.
