Nubin Ridge (aka, Ben) raced until age 8, earning over $600,000 in 67 races. During his last race, he suffered a sesamoid injury (but still came in second). His racing connections gave him over a year off to rest and recover. They donated him to LOPE — and we have loved working with this gorgeous horse! Ben’s injury is fully healed (radiographs and ultrasound on file) — and he has been approved by our vets for flatwork (and even light jumping). We have restarted Ben under saddle and he has had a handful of post-track rides. Ben is sweet and kind! He needs an adopter who can be patient while he learns to go slow.
