The LOPE Open House on October 4 will feature the terrific Austin band Hot Club of Cowtown, horsemanship demos, cool education booths on racing and retraining racehorses, delicious BBQ food from J Bar B Foods, several friendly ex-racehorses to meet and a silent auction at LOPE’s Wimberley location at the gorgeous Foothills Farm.
We don't want to brag, but Seeya When I Seeya (aka "Bentley") has officially made his show debut! As to be expected, he put in a dazzling performance. Bentley earned second place for In Hand Horsemanship Challenge! AND he did his first ever western dressage test!! Bentley's co-pilot for the show was Melissa Jesurun Performance Horses. She has been working with Bentley and helping him learn new things. Bentley is available for adoption at LOPE. He is a very special horse and would love to have a person of his very own. Preferably one who likes to pose for selfies lol.
