4 year old @15.2H bay filly with a nice build. Moonlight came to LOPE in late Oct 2015. Within 24 hours of arriving, she began to show signs of severe colic. We rushed her to our vets (Austin Equine Hospital). Moonlight had to have surgery to correct a torsion. Her breeder made a generous donation toward her surgery costs. Thanks to her breeder, Austin Equine’s discount and the many supporters who contributed to her care, Moonlight has recovered fully from her surgery! We gave her some extra turnout time since she had such a difficult end to 2015 — but we plan to slowly restart her back into saddle work in Feb/March 2016. Moonlight has racing ankles and will most likely be best suited for trail/pleasure or low level dressage work. She has a wonderful, quirky personality and has become a huge favorite at LOPE.
