Youth and Warhorse Education Programs at the Tipping Point
Big changes start with small steps. Each small step builds on the next one. Progress seems slow. Then suddenly momentum takes over — and everything snowballs into bigger results.
This is happening now at LOPE. For years, we’ve been slowly building programs for warhorses and youth to learn from each other. One teen volunteer grew into ten high school interns and barn helpers. One LOPE warhorse long ago (Tulsa Mambo) became over twenty warhorses helped (ranging in age from 7 to 14, with thousands of races between them).
In 2019, LOPE met with top TB aftercare groups in Kentucky. All agreed that education is key, for both the horses and the next generation of horse industry leaders. With our unique education programs, LOPE is poised to help influence and mentor similar initiatives throughout the US. We are excited by the interest in our work — and we are eager to add value on a larger scale!
We need your support to do that. Will you help our small steps continue their rapid momentum, so we can reach many more horses and young people in 2020?
Innovation always starts slowly. It takes time for new ideas to gain credibility and results. LOPE has done the steady, slow work for years, out of passion and dedication to our mission. We are thrilled to see our programs gaining national recognition!
LOPE is at an exciting tipping point — and your support can make the key difference. We’d be grateful if you would consider making a gift so LOPE can help many more horses and youth in 2020 — both locally and across the US.
